Delivery Driver, Hurns Caerphilly

  • Full UK / EU Driving license
  • No more than 3 driving penalty points with no endorsements
  • Held a driving license for a minimum of 2 years
  • Friendly, punctual, hardworking
  • Good level of physical strength and high energy

    Are you reliable, hardworking, and friendly? We are looking for an energetic delivery driver to operate from our Caerphilly depot for a 40 hour per week role (days TBC). Candidates must be punctual and hold a full driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.     Assistant Brewer, Tomos Watkin Brewery, Llansamlet Swansea

    Requirements >

    • Handiness! This is a very hands-on role so being skilled with a screwdriver will serve you well
    • A good level of physical strength and lots of energy – you will be moving heavy items on a daily basis
    • You must be reliable, hardworking and punctual
    • Some experience in a factory/production/manufacturing role would be preferable but is not essential
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Passion for our brewery and the beers we produce
    • Ability to work well within a close-knit team

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the brewery at all times as well as the yard & equipment is kept at the highest standard at all times
    • Assisting on brew days, this will involve starting or finishing off brews as and when required (training will be provided)
    • Transportation & milling of malt
    • Lots of heavy lifting
    • Weighing out materials & preparing for brews
    • Fermenter checks (PG and temperature)
    • Making sure that ingredients are consistently & accurately weighed, prepared & recorded for brewing
    • Maintaining excellent records of all actions and production carried out to allow for retrospective analysis
    • Barrel sampling
    • Liaising with lab and other brewing staff to ensure that all required samples taken and relevant analysis is carried out and recorded in an appropriate manner
    • Representing the brewery at associated events and conveying a passion and appreciation for Tomos Watkin Brewery
    • Helping out in the brewery shop, restocking and serving customers as required
    • Helping to develop and execute any required collaboration brews with relevant parties
