Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to attend the Royal Visit at Swansea's Patti Pavilion to celebrate 50 years of Swansea being officially declared a city. And what could be a more fitting gift for the Prince of Wales than some of our iconic Swansea Jack beer?
Not only did our CEO, Connie and Marketing Manager, Becky get to meet and chat with Prince Charles himself about our family business and what we do here at Tomos Watkin Brewery, but they were also thrilled to offer some gift packs of Swansea Jack to Charles to enjoy at home in the comfort of the palace!
We were honoured to be invited by Swansea Council to take part in the day's celebrations, which took place on a beautiful sunny day on Swansea seafront. Marking 50 years of Swansea being officially declared a city, the atmosphere was proud and patriotic. It was fantastic to have so many lovely local people in the same place to celebrate our wonderful city and everything it stands for.
We were lucky enough to be joined on stands by representatives from The Gower Gin Company, Penderyn Whisky and Cygnet Gin - all fantastic local businesses born and bred right here in Swansea, South Wales.
Thank you to Swansea Council for the invitation, and Prince Charles - if you're reading this, we hope you enjoyed your beer!
