It's summertime, the sun is (sometimes) shining, and that can only mean one thing - festivals! And we don't mean the muddy-welly-wearing-tent-putting-up type, although they're quite fun too. No, we're talking about beer festivals of course, and South Wales has some great local events taking place this summer where you can sip a cold one and soak up the atmosphere.
First and foremost is Neath Real Ale & Cider Festival 2019, which starts today (Friday 19th of July) and runs until tomorrow, Saturday 20th of July. Promising two days of jam-packed, beer-fulled festivities, including a roster of local music talents and more, we're praying the weather holds up so we can sit outside the Town Hall and enjoy this great two-day jolly. Sample a range of local ales and ciders including our full bottled range in the marquee to the sounds of Neath & Port Talbot's finest musical marvels.
Next on the agenda is the Swansea Bay Beer and Cider Festival between the 22nd and 24th of August. A roaring success every single year, this incredible event (organised by Swansea CAMRA Society) spreads over three rip-roaringly fun days and offers a huge variety of award-winning ales and ciders to visitors of The Brangwyn Hall in Swansea. This year, you can taste two new Tomos Watkin cask ales; our iconic Swansea Jack beer as well as Low Tide - an easy-drinking delight brewed with Maris Otter malt and a selection of juicy American hops. They both have a super drinkable ABV of 4%, making them oh-so-easy to drink and ideal for a lazy summer afternoon.
Look out for the signature Tomos Watkin logo on staff T-shirts at the beer festival too, and don't forget to tag photos of your TW pint - wherever you're drinking it this summer - with #TomosWatkin for the chance to see your post shared on our Instagram page.
Happy (& responsible) drinking everybody!
